For my project today, I wanted to talk about the importance and available options for the "Little White Dress" of your wedding invitation suites. Bands (and no, not the one you'll be wearing on your finger soon!) are a fashionable and classic way to dress up your invitation suite and hold various cards together - such as your invitation, RSVP and details. They are like the perfect little white dress for a bachelorette party! I offer several different types, explained here, and each is priced differently. As you're getting ready to order your invitation suite, it is important to know the difference between each type.

First - one of the most budget friendly options is TWINE. This is the perfect band for a rustic or beach themed wedding. If you're planning on doing the band yourself, this is also one of the best options because you can order a huge spool at a very affordable price and it's easy to use! As shown above, twine is versatile in the way it can be used and tied around your suite. It's a fantastic accent piece to hold the entire suite together.

Another budget friendly band option is card stock. I love this option because it can be designed to match the rest of your wedding suite, add a personal touch like your initials, and it's very affordable! The style, width, and design options are endless which helps with not only holding all of your cards together but also helps add a more elegant and personalized touch for my non-rustic brides.

Next option, which is clearly a fan favorite, is G L I T T E R or metallic bands with a label. These bands add a POP to your suite while still allowing you to add a personal touch with a quote, your initials, your names, even your wedding date. I love seeing how creative my brides get when choosing what to put on the label and how well they tie the entire suites together. They're perfect for keeping a pocket envelope or lace cover closed. Now, for my glitter haters, you're probably cringing in your seat right now. BUT, I have great news - the glitter is IN the paper, not ON the paper, which means it isn't going to get everywhere when your guests open their envelope with the suite inside. It is one of my absolute favorite card stock products to use and since I use it almost daily, trust me when I say that the glitter STAYS put. The sparkle is hard to capture on camera but it is sure to wow you and your guests. If you're still not sold on the glitter band, it's also available in metallic so you're still able to give a sparkle to your suite.

Last option I'll discuss today, but certainty not least and certainly not the final list of options, is lace and/or double-faced silk ribbon. Lace bands are absolutely one of the most elegant options a bride can choose and can be intertwined with any of the prior band options as you've seen in some of the photos here. They're stretchy, sewn together, and are available in a variety of colors. With or without the lace band, you can also add double-faced silk ribbon. Double-faced is important as we'll be tying the ribbon into a bow or knot and therefore it's important that both sides of the ribbon are the same material. While this option adds a level of elegance truly unique to the others, it doesn't come cheap. Not only is the lace and ribbon a little more expensive than the alternative options I provided, but the ribbon will require additional postage payment due to the thickness of the knot or bow. This is something to consider when choosing how many inserts you'd like in your suite (adding weight) as well as what you'll tie your suite together with.

I truly hope you enjoyed reading about the "Little White Dress" of your wedding invitation suites and learned a little bit about the options available to you! Here's a glimpse at my personal wedding suite from T H R E E years ago!

Below you will find the blog hop line. Thanks so much for hoping along and make sure to leave a comment on EACH of the stops for a chance to win that generous $40 gift card!!
